Perth to Lancelin (130km, 1.5 hours) Start your trip by driving from Perth to Lancelin. This small coastal town is known for its sand dunes, which are perfect for sandboarding and off-road driving. You can also go fishing or take a boat tour to explore the coastline.
Lancelin to Cervantes (85km, 1 hour) Drive north to Cervantes, a town famous for the Pinnacles Desert in the Nambung National Park. You can take a guided tour or explore the desert on your own. In the afternoon, relax on the beach or visit Lake Thetis to see stromatolites, which are some of the oldest living organisms on earth.
Cervantes to Geraldton (200km, 2.5 hours) Drive to Geraldton, a coastal city with plenty of historic sites and attractions. Visit the HMAS Sydney II Memorial, the Abrolhos Islands, or take a walk along the Batavia Coast Marina.
Geraldton to Kalbarri (160km, 2 hours) Drive to Kalbarri, a town located on the Murchison River and home to Kalbarri National Park. The park offers a range of activities, including hiking, rock climbing, and canoeing. Visit the Z Bend or Nature’s Window to see stunning rock formations.
Kalbarri to Coral Bay (570km, 6.5 hours) Drive to Coral Bay, a small town famous for its turquoise waters and marine life. Go snorkeling or diving to see colorful coral and fish, or take a glass-bottom boat tour. You can also relax on the beach or explore the nearby Ningaloo Reef.
