As camping mums, we understand the importance of packing snacks for kids while camping that not only fuel our outdoor adventures but also excite the little ones taste buds. After all, there’s nothing quite like enjoying delicious treats amidst the beauty of nature. Yet, all too often, our snacks for kids while camping can fall into the realm of the mundane – the same boring stuff over and over.
Say goodbye to the same old snacks and hello to a world of happy little campers, no more ‘I’m hungry” making your camping experience even more enjoyable.
To help you on your quest of sanity saving snacks, we’ve curated a list of Mum approved go to’s which are sure to help to the daily rotation.
Trail Mixes: homemade blend packed with nuts, pretzels, dried fruits, and a hint of dark chocolate, the kids won’t complain.
Portable Hummus and Veggie Packs: Instead of lugging around a bulky container of hummus, we opt for convenient single-serve hummus packs paired with fresh, crisp veggies the kids are satisfied. Plus it’s a win for Mum, child approved healthy snack consumed.
Homemade Granola Bars: Skip the store-bought varieties and whip up your own batch of granola bars customised with your favourite nuts, seeds, and dried fruits for a wholesome and delicious snack – we drizzle ours with white chocolate and they are consumed as fast as the store brought ones.
Campfire Popcorn: Popcorn isn’t just for movie nights at home – bring the magic of popcorn to the campfire, you haven’t enjoyed popcorn until you have tried this. We zip lock any leftovers for the next day snacks.

If we don’t have the powered sites, I have 2 min noodles, mac and cheese, biscuits and cheese, salad etc, cut up carrots all pre ready. I generally also make them a “lunch/snack bag” like at school…otherwise I just become a snack bi*$h for the entire time
